I Fully Cheated This Week...

So, I have to admit, I cheated on my food prep this week. And you know what? It was kind of a game-changer for me.  Yes, I am still recovering from the holidays a bit.

I usually pride myself on making everything from scratch, from sauces to spice blends. But let's be real, sometimes life gets busy and I just don't take the time or energy to spend hours in the kitchen. Aaaand, that's where store-bought sauce hacks come in.

Let me tell you about a few of my favorites...

I discovered Omsom starters, which are these packs of starter sauces that make it super easy to create authentic Asian dishes at home. I was a little skeptical at first, but man, the results were impressive. I used the Korean Spicy Bulgogi starter to make a delicious and flavorful chicken bulgogi in just a few minutes. All I had to do was marinate the organic chicken thighs for at least 15 minutes in the sauce and sauté for about ten minutes. The end result was this spicy and savory bulgogi that tasted like it had been slow-cooking all day. Just look at the picture above... That's my end result in under 30 minutes!

I also tried out Mike's Organic Curry Love for a curry starter and Frontera brand Mexican sauces from the amazing chef, Rick Bayless. Both of these products made it easy to whip up a quick and delicious meal with minimal effort. The curry starter was especially impressive - it had this deep, complex flavor that tasted like it had taken hours to develop. And the Frontera Mexican sauces were perfect for a quick fajita bowl night.

Now, as a health coach, I always recommend planning ahead and prepping your own meals whenever possible. But these store-bought sauce hacks are a great option for when things get away from you. Just be sure to read the labels and choose products with minimal additives and preservatives. And don't forget to add in some organic veggies, plant-based protein, organic chicken, or grass-fed/finished beef to boost the nutrition of your meal.

Overall, I have to say that using these store-bought sauce hacks was an overall win. They made it easy to create tasty meals without the hassle of spending hours in the kitchen. I'll definitely be using them again in the future. If you're short on time but still want to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal.
